Ah yes, the rain! We could have mud wrestling events on our dirt roads here! I have been forced to use the Mule in 4WD because the paths are so bad. And i have to wear my boots to get enough traction to prevent falling on my butt. The river is flooding again, and the island is underwater. What a mess.

Same here. Clay mud is awful, poor yard is a mess from it.
We have potholes halfway across our roads. A small child could be buried in them they are so deep. All the gravel has been washed out.

Exactly! I have seen potholes that would fit a small car. Seems the road crews don't work when it rains. Problem is, it only stops for a day or so and then starts up again. I think we are in for another record year. How are the chickens Alley?

Didn’t get that doe the other day but I did put a deposit on a handsome buck kid! He isn’t polled but it was love at first sight. I can get him in April.

So cute! I hate burning horns off. I feel like they should be left on for heat regulation and self defense. I never had problems with goats hurting me with their horns.

Yes! They’ve been fixing roads that are collapsing here for the past 2 years! And everything else is getting neglected.

Not so hot. I lost Sue the other day. Idk what she ate but her crop was a solid rock when I found her. Ducks are in bad shape too. I’m down to 2 but haven’t been out this morning yet. They all of a sudden can’t walk. I thought it was the drakes fault but I lost him Thursday. He was walking fine just died.

Thanks! He’s what I was looking for color wise.
I’ve never done it. I always left them natural when I had them last time. I had both polled and horned and never had a problem other than the polled were escape artists.

The goats I have now have all been dehorned. Granger has scurs which I worry about.

Hubby used to do it for me, but i hated it. It's like burning through the skull. The problem is if you want to sell goats with horns , some people won't buy them. And a goat with horns has a big advantage over a goat without horns.

no they live separate a good distance away. They are 7 and 8 months old. 2 separate pens because they didn’t get along. The older ones bully the younger ones.
