Under a porch?

I bet those little birds that build in watering cans or bicycle helmets would use them.
When my youngest daughter was a kid, she cut six squares out of a cardboard box. About six inches square each and glued them together to form a cube and cut a small hole for an entrance. I nailed it up under the front porch roof and some little birds moved in. Looked like sparrows but had a slim turned up tail. They raised two broods each summer for about ten years before the house finally fell apart.
