Almost got picked up by the cops doing 70 in a 55mph zone, I had just passed someone. He put his brakes on, but I guess he figured by the time he got turned around I would be gone.

It looks like Baby buns tomorrow!
I need to build more nestboxes. I bought a couple thick carpet samples for 99 cents to cut in pieces for the bottom of the nest boxes. I keep putting nest material in and the chickens dig down to the wooden bottom. Getting cracked eggs.
We went dumpster diving at Aldis today. Got lots of oranges, some bananas, apples, iced tea in unopened jugs, and she got some packages of meat. I was not interested in that. Cabbages, one open pack of cookies for the birds, and a double pack of brand new baby wipes. Score!
I had trouble too with that. I ended up putting a thick layer of shavings in the bottom then straw on top. Not had problems with it since.I need to build more nestboxes. I’m still trying to figure out what some of these rural king chicks are. They are out of the mystery bin.
They had several unusual breeds today, including Faverolles.
they had those too! They had the common ones then lots of unusual breeds. Something blue but wasn’t labeled.
