Granny's gone and done it again

It would be hard to keep and eye on any one calving and might be having difficulty doing so and also to make sure the calf is eating and such. The big pasture has lots of places for them to just disappear, this includes Porter. If I could confine the pg ones to the tit the grass would last longer. Also they can give you a rough estimate as to when the cow might be calving. Then I could also swap them around as/if needed.

do they have to trank them to check ? I wouldnt want that if they were pg but dont you have to have a vet come anyway for shots ?

X 2 and an hour drive each way how does that pay between time spent , gas, wear and tear on vehicle HOW are you even breaking even. " Shirley " there is a place closer even if you don't get as much or have to give it free. The money IMHO is just bonus the real pay off is in reclaiming space and peace of mind.

He had to get stuff anyway, so not a wasted trip. When I go back early tomorrow I'll get food for the group, so also not a wasted trip. Just a stop along the way.

LOL morning Twist, I was trying to clean house and my back and hips wont let me. Just took a pill so hope it kicks in with enough time to do some before those people come. They are a pain in the rear and not helping Robert at all.

Let them see the house in its natural state.  They are not guests, they are there to work.  They should be figuring out a way for Robert to be able to vacuum and mop and all the other self help skills.  It's their job!  Next time they come, have a shopping list ready and have them take him to get groceries or chicken food or something.

DD has NO common sense at all.  Morning Wishing, cracking me up. LOLOL
My CB is an awesome kid. no doubt.  he has 7 more yrs of HS I will be 61 . I hope to see that happen and him off to collage . I think he is starting to realize he dont need to lie to me for attention. or to make himself look better.  I am very proud of him.

Morning!  He is a good boy.  :love   He's had 10 impressionable years learning his behaviors.  It will take a little time to unlearn them.  It will help if you can discuss it with him...  ask why does he feel he has to do this or that?  What's he worried about?  The negative behaviors almost always come from fears.  Little introspection is good.  (Although you have to talk when  neither of you is upset.)

YES! x2 on all of it. Esp. the worker stuff.

Nope no tranks and we/I did the shots ourselves and it would either be a blood test (not sure I like that one) or the old arm up the rectum and then see if they can feel a calve from there downwards.
I was going to ask. I remember the vet checking on the horses that way. Dr. Chester was a short man, and we had large horses, so his face was right there too!

Sometimes he stood on a box! Have to say, for a short man, he had very long arms!

Oh the bangs vaccination for Hailey yes still need to do that I have up until she is about a year old. and He wanted me to bring her into Dickinson and he would do it in the trailer. This I am willing to do just not until most of the snow is gone. BUT if her is out there to pg test he could do Hailey at the same time.
