We have a salvage title which is a car that was totaled in a wreck but fixed and is drivable.

when you sign off on a wrecked car because its totaled they destroy the title. sell the car for crap. people come and fix the car and need a title.

We call that a salvaged title, not worth much. My van has a salvage title. Drives great, strong engine. But not worth much.
