Cap,Camping, Maybe you can help me understand. Why would you ask? Your not a child, you contribute to the household and you have one life to live. I was raised much differently maybe?

Because everyone in the family has to live with the dog for the rest of it's life. And with little dogs that means the next 15 to 20 years. Not consulting and getting buy in is well beyond inconsiderate.

major reason we would never work. At the very least one should "consult" with the S.O.

It’s been four years of chicken tending.

Four years later, I still have the two marans, one red and Sam.

Peach has grown less obsessed with the chicks though lol.

If my hubby liked animals like i do, there would be no issue. But he doesn't. And he hates messes. I am not big on cleaning, and he knows it. So i have to talk him into accepting it. He has come around a bit. Nearly brought home a stray Yorkie yesterday that he saw on the road, but he found the owner.

Dont make me feel bad. LOL Every marriage is different and I KNOW I did the right thing. I got the dog for my GS and it was needed. I wont go into detail about that but even if he had said no I would of done it any way. Tom didnt want the dog but he plays w/ him, feeds him, gives him treats, talks to him . I take care of everything including Tom. He cant even decide what to eat . I dont feel like anyone has the right to tell me yes or no. Im not a child. If he didnt want to have anything to do w/ the dog he dont have to. I never asked him to. He does it because HE wants to.
