Looks like my banty cochin managed to catch one of the dominique pullets.

There’s another little hatching right now. The other broody’s box is a mess, someone got in there breaking eggs. So I need to move her ASAP.

Got the second clutch cleaned up. The eggs were cracked or split and embryos hanging out. I wiped the intact ones with a damp cloth and moved them into a small dog kennel. The broody was wandering in the yard and not puffed, but still clucking a bit. I put her in with the eggs and I hope she’ll settle back down.

Today is the last sunshine all week, so I’m painting while I can. I can clean the coop or plant in the rain.

Hope it doesn't rain on Friday or Saturday cause I need to transplant squash & cukes that are growing on my kitchen counter.
