Granny's gone and done it again

The last time I got a warning about driving I was in my early 20s, driving down the road from the farm, alone, and I heard a voice tell me "slow down." So I did. For a little bit. Didn't see anything wrong, thought it was silly to think someone warned me, so I started to speed back up heading into a curve, and... a deer jumped into the road just ahead. I was still going just slow enough to keep from hitting it. Ignore the voice at your peril!!!

My friend Mollie came and bought 5 birds today. We’ve been friends a few years, and she’s even watched my animals when we travel. She brought her new beau and he asked what kind of place it was, and I said a summer camp. I said “Mollie has been around and seen it.” Nope. She’s never been past the driveway. So I gave them a tour and a bunch of schedules and info. She’s going to come back later for the ducks I think. They’re just getting too messy for the pen. Mollie sexed then for me and showed me what to look for. I was waiting for tail curls. I have three drakes and four hens.

Don’t think I mentioned that I fell walking home last night. I was on the road so I could watch for snakes, and I had a light. It was about 11:30. I looked up at the stars and somehow rolled my left ankle, but there were no potholes or loose rocks, and nothing to trip over. Trying to catch myself I rolled my right ankle, then hit my hands and knees. I got a couple small scrapes on one knee, and my right ankle is sore.

I should’ve iced it, but I walked through the door and straight into bed.

I looked up at the stars and somehow rolled my left ankle, but there were no potholes or loose rocks, and nothing to trip over. Trying to catch myself I rolled my right ankle, then hit my hands and knees. I got a couple small scrapes on one knee, and my right ankle is sore.

I should’ve iced it, but I walked through the door and straight into bed.

I posted her on an agriculture group. Just waiting for it to be approved.

Sarah (the assistant) said she remembered the auctioneer calling her bred. And she was in the holding pen with the other bred nanny. Maybe she’s just stretched to begin with, and not as far as assumed. Guess we’ll find out.

Or maybe she has huge kids! Hope everything goes well.
