I could live off the fat of the land for a solid month or more even. What do they say, a person can go w/o food for a few weeks but will die w/o water in like 2 days ? Something like that.

No, not true. I have had my share of them die.You just have the magic touch. everything I touch turns to crap.
I have never seen that problem before. Hope I never do. I have seen prolapse twice I believe. Once in a serama I culled her. the egg was stuck to her outside vent and I now think it was from treats. Too much corn and her being fat from it. The other was the jub hen who was already huge on their own. It saved her for a year just to end up dying from the same thing. No, not true. I have had my share of them die.
Thing is I didn't do much for her except give her a chance to get better. Olive oil one time and massage to try to clear the crop, no food, and water with chick probiotics. It was a long slow wait, but she got better. I read so much about how to treat these problems, and I think people do too much sometimes.
Oh thank goodness no. That's going to be a sad day around here. Peach was sitting next to Figgy on the top roost tonight.OHH It just clicked. Was that #1s chicken?

I think prolapse is rare to get a complete cure.I have never seen that problem before. Hope I never do. I have seen prolapse twice I believe. The other was the jub hen who was already huge on their own. It saved her for a year just to end up dying from the same thing.
Peach was in the first batch of chicks we got. She's 7 now. Only 2 others left from those first chicks. And all 3 of them still lay the occasional egg... about 2 per week. How old are they now ? The oldest ?
