They are so expensive and unless I find them at the junk store lower price leather works ok.

yeah I had mom and dad pick them up when they were out earlier. 4 hinges and 2 eye hooks cost $10 and something.

Only thing I see w/ your brooder is the top is open and you might have others start roosting up there and poop on the broodys. Thats what they did to mine so I threw a loose piece of paneling I had up there. Plastic, anything will work.

I been thinking about counting my seramas and mixes up and offering them for someone to come clean the coop out good. I think I have about a dozen then 3 littles

Ya, I used to build almost like her. Not as many but I loved doing it. I miss it. Half the fun was hitting the restore and flea markets for supplys. That woman has some energy I never had.

The thing I was missing (and still am) is imagination. She can look at a pile of junk and make a coop out of it or feeders or whatever. I need a feeder Im like , Ok, I will need this and this and ... then I go on a mission to find it.
