Granny's gone and done it again

hahaa I just paid to have trees cut down! Don't know what I'm thinking. Not much space left for trees around here.
I am always ready for a new tree ! Especially if its a pretty bloom. I bet it would do well for you there.

wow, that is something! It's not the size of the dog, but the size of the personality that really matters. :)

Oh yes, but you have to get a permit to be legal.
What are the basic requirement to get this permit? In srael it is categoric protected by the law.

was it very hot for you today too Wishing ?
At 4pm, it was 101 outside and 82 inside. Too hot for me. The chickens were doing okay, though. All the trees here give deep shade. Much cooler under the trees for them.

I, however, had to rub water on my arms and stand in front of a fan to cool off.

I started in the last year a wonderful hobby of knives making and leather working here some of my projects.

thats just nuts Lynda, Theres no need for you to have to do that. I cant imagine being in that all day and trying to sleep would be impossible. I keep my house at 70 and have a fan blowing on me all the time. I take meds to stop me from sweating and I am still hot.

You would have to apply to state Fish and Game department and US Fish and Wildlife Service. I don't know the actual requirements, but there must be some husbandry requirements and proof that the birds were not acquired illegally. Raptors are protected in all forms. Without permits, you cannot even keep feathers or any part of a dead bird you might find on the road. It is not common here to fly falcons or hawks.

Ugh. Hot for you too huh wishing?

I am amazed at Bucky. Truly I am. For a “not heat tolerant” breed he was showing it the least. Poor buffy though. She was feeling it. They all had wings out and panting - except Bucky!! AND somehow his water dish was COMPLETELY EMPTY when I checked on him tonight. Whether he knocked it over earlier in the day or what....but no mud puddles around it or anything. Trying a conventional waterer in the coop for tomorrow. If that works - he gets a Big Honkin Water inside his rooster roost....hopefully he’ll be good. He got some watermelon while I scammed a smaller extra waterer from the girls. He was a thirsty boy, poor guy.

We took some boards off the girl’s coop though. Was pretty toasty in there. Cooled down and allowed for a bit more ventilation so bonus. Hubs at least finally agrees. We need to redo the girls’ coop. Now whether he takes any of my redesign ideas into consideration or not is another story...
