He dont want to "ruin" Roberts gift but the chocolate got the better of him today and he plucked a hershey bar. LOL
He wont name the fish but he wants more. I told him he could probably have like 2 mollys w/ him and if he wasnt going to name him I was and I called him Shamo.

What about fantail guppies? Those are pretty. Would Shamo eat them?

The tank is 3 gallon BTW and its now going to cost a new filter as the one that came w/ it runs off air and I stole the air pump for my tank and I dont like those type of filters anyway

No, He could have a couple guppys its more about who swims where. shamo swims surface , guppy, molly, small tetra do middle and a cory cat could do bottom .

I like Jane's idea of a plant in a bowl. I have a big glass globe I used to keep a couple of goldfish in. Cleaned it every other week. A plant would make it perfect and lots of surface area for the betta. I don't want to listen to a pump.

Can you keep a female with a male for company or will he harass her too much?
