Their wings aren't fully feathered. They're still babies. I checked in all the holes, bushes, and tall grasses. The other 7 followed me the whole time, so I don't think she was just hiding. I saw a hawk at the farm yesterday, and it's only a wing flap or two from farm to pond, as the hawk flies.
