born a month ago.

Seems to have been "adopted" by 19. At least 19 was licking/washing both of them and has also let both calves nurse. Going to have to move them into the tit ASAP but first they need to get on the right side of the creek.

I found a roll of vinyl flooring for my packing crate coop! Came home today and those 5 bantam cochin chicks were making a huge racket! They were all out of the coop and following daddy around. The 2 hens were in the cage, but the chicks couldn't get back in. So we caught them and put them in. I will be glad when that coop is done!

According to the "experts" on Iyak facebook and yak 101 , 19 will produce enough milk to raise both calves. BUT need to keep a close watch on them and try to supliment 19's food intake. I did put 2 licks tubs out today for the main herd.

Im so sorry Twist. Do they have 2 teets? I wonder if it would be safer to pull her and try to bottle feed ? Theres no way you will know if she is eating or just trying to or even getting enough. She will eat way more then the baby.
OMG Crying.
