what kind of predators do you have there ? Poison snakes ? Water moccasins maybe?

NOPE only poison snake would be a rattler. There were no obvious holes/tears/punctures in star.

The grass in the paddock with we had been keeping the calves with the lean too and the ducks is waist high on me now. Since we moved them out a couple/three months ago and it was ALL down to 2 or 3 inches high when we moved them.
