Oh yikes. How do they even cover that many!? I only have 3 hens and have only been getting 2 eggs a day.probably , mine didn't start truly 'sitting" until they felt they had enough eggs. Which was 20 under the one and no idea under the one still brooding
this happened yesterday too I believe. Came from nowhere but down poured bad enough that I had small streams running in front of the coops!No rain here Alley but really muggy.
If mice are just as afraid of me as I am them then why do they always run towards me ?

They are hiding them and keeping them cool. They wont set til like Twist said, they have a good amount. Not the same as chicken behavior. Camping has had some good hatches..Mine is between these two. And they covered the eggs the other day. I dug them out.
