thats very trueCamp, I'm sorry I realize it is compounded by your efforts of trying to save it, it hurts still to find one dead either before or shortly after birth and stumbling on it but I realize spending time and effort multiplies the pain....
I took the 5 California Quail outside and put them in the empty side of the brooder. It is lovely out, cool, breezy....man I would like to work out there all night. SO much better than daytime!

I would go in the workshop and shut the door. Yeah, the pup would not want to sleep all day.other then the skeeters and of course your "morning puppy"
