Granny's gone and done it again

Got #1 to take the bottle this evening, so he’s at least 4oz for the day. #3 finally figured it out this evening and took the whole thing, so 3oz for the day. #2 just refuses, but has a full belly. I think he’s nursing more than the others.
So she couldn’t nurse 3 without you supplementing them.

Platelets are a part of his blood. He is bleeding to death it would seem. I had the numbers here earlier but they are back in his room. His went from 120 to 86 in a week and norms are somewhere between 150-300? Something like that
Hope they can figure out a way to help him. I was reading that there are foods that promote platelet production, but he probably wouldn't eat them. My laptop froze up while I was looking, so you'll have to Google them.

How about you? Are you feeling any better?

Morning all. Thanks for the kind words yesterday. It was raw for a minute but then I was ok. Right before we tubed the second time I asked Sally if it was better to let him pass instead of keeping sticking him. She said to fight for him, so I did, even though he had already given up. He died warm with a full belly. Nothing much better.

The others are good. I got #1 to drink 2oz milk and he was dancing around looking for more, then ran straight to mom and nursed vigorously. #2 screamed while I dripped milk on his tongue, no sucking at all. He got 1/2oz. #3 was a mix, sucked a bit and also screamed while I dripped milk on her tongue. She got 1oz.

All have gained 4-5 ounces since birth. Gertrude is very attentive and wakes them up to eat, and makes sure each one does. One side of her udder is hard and seems sore when they butt her, not sure what the issue is. It’s not hot or red. The milk looks like the milk from the other side, not pink or yellow.

:love Tooth Fairy time! :wee
Sorry the baby didn't make it. Bubba seems content holding the other kid, though, especially when the others aren't allowed! :D

Hi all, I think I scored. I say think because I am afraid another addiction is on the way. This time I recognize it before it gets bad. Went to junk store. On the way out I seen a 30 gal tank in a yard sale but didnt stop. I need a hood for mine but I am not using it right now. Said I would stop on the way home. At goodwill I found the tank I AM using and also need a hood for. $10.00 ! snatched that up without a second thought cause the hood looked good. Stopped at the yard sale on the way home and tank was sold. 30 gal hood light stand filter $10.00 as well. Dangggg thats ok Dont need both Only need hood remember ?? Ok time to see whats in there and if the light works. Light and florescent hood check ! About $50.00 IF I could find one. Been looking for a few yrs. Not one but 2 NICE filters both work Check ! about $65.00 each. 2 underwater or above color changing light bars with air 18in. minus the power supply both work No idea on $$ but very cool looking. waterfall decor, rock decoration, 3 shell type hiding cubbies decoration used condition a shelf that sits inside the tank made to look like rock, all the gravel needed natural and same as I use, 2 backgrounds big enough for Toms tank and this one and the other made to look like real rock wall and sits inside. decor estimated around $30.. . SO, Grand total $210.00 plus 2 light bars. Oh and the tank itself 20 gal. long. ??
Score! :woot

They look so happy!

I cant get anything right. LOL I fed/watered the chicken and found a little running around on the floor. Brought it in w/ the other 2 and tried to mow. I got around the coops and a little bit out front when the mower crapped. No biggy as I was getting a tooth ache anyway. I brought the mower to the barn and thought I will try one more time. Must of been tall grass wrapped around the blades cause its good now. So I went to go sit w/ Tom for a few and found a tic on my chest embedded already. Robert thinks he missed some . Walked into the back room and seen Nugget playing w/ the new chick on the floor who looked dead. Picked it up and it was alive but stone cold and barely moving. I warmed it in my hands and put it in a towel back in the brooder then went for my shower. Came back out and the chick is out of the towel and running around w/o a care in the world.
Tooth ache?

Is Gertrude's udder better? Soft?

Just wondered if anyone was paying attention.
Please dont fuss. It was jaw pain and just a min. ago Robert had to get me some baby aspirin
I noticed. :p

Are those full grown?
They can grow up to 2 years. But I think Granger and Fleur are done. I'd like Molly the white to grow a little more but I doubt she will. Rowena and Bucky (the black and whites) are both under a year old.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: what are your plans for them ?? meat, milk, sell the littles ??
Milk and sell the littles.

Camping, was Alleys goats full grown?
My pygmy goats were smaller. Adult size was the size of the white one. I think shes full if not 3/4 pygmy.

My maximum is 6.
this is part of why I want to downsize on birds too. Working on getting down to 3 coops atm and also selling some of the big birds.

Robert says name her doe-doe

That’s what the Cajun people tell their kids when it’s time to sleep.

So she couldn’t nurse 3 without you supplementing them.

I don’t think so.

No, and I don’t think I’m describing it right. It is a mass, like a disk. I can put my fingers on both sides but she gets super mad. I’m sure it’s sore. I’m supposed to milk her totally out, but I don’t have a milk stand. Or any time in the day.
