There's one not far, but we're not in that district. There's a much bigger, much better one about 30 minutes away, also a diff district and a diff parish.

Could you do open enrollment? One of the boys I went to school with lived in a different district and was on open enrollment so he could go to my school.

She many surprise you yet - but there are some that just never do.  We had one BO out of the three in our last flock that was like that.  She was always a little smaller, slower and somewhat "off" than the rest and was definitely low bird on the totem pole - had her just over two years and never produced a single egg, but she was a favorite for us humans so she got to stick around and be a free loader, lol.

I think she'll be a free loader. She's not very friendly. If you look in her direction she screams! But then she'll hide behind me if Davey is after her.

Ally, I think those just take longer to start laying.

I hope but she's as big as her matching sister. But her ears have me weirded out. They are beige, and her sister's is red.

Rural king. I picked out breeds that I thought would look nice. All were sexed "pullets" and I avoided any with feathered feet.

Crappy ones. I tried to get one with her sister. Yeah they had some sex links and I got 2 of those.

there are a few combos of sex link chickens . not all the same kind of chicken. There you go, you have 2 different kinds. Red sex link, black, I dont know them all.

that orangy/yellow just means she isnt ready to lay yet. It will turn pink then red when she is. The one that is laying will go back to that color when she takes a break.
