Granny's gone and done it again

I went out and got inside the coop. Started scraping off old chicken poo and decided how to fix up the coop. I started ripping out the nest boxes, did a lot more eww..scraping poop off the floor. The nest boxes were inside, taking up space in a small coop. Likewise, the tier of 3 perches takes too much space and they probably only use the top two. So it will come out. I got about half of the inside walls painted white, which makes a huge difference. It was previously unpainted, though a few boards were stained dark brown. It is dark in there!
Anyone interested in the coop rehab can follow it in my building thread, " Helpful Hints for Building Coops "

Sorry I've not really been chatty. It's been a bad weekend here. I'm a hot mess. My moms dog attacked the momma cat and broke her leg, my frazzle chick got scalped yesterday, and my silkie roo Crunchy I found him dead under a pile of broodies this morning. I have been bawling almost nonstop for 3 days. There are so many other things going on and I just cant get a handle on it all.
Sorry for your losses Alley. I know Crunchy was dear to you and you had him for a while. Was it one of those little dogs ? I actually do know how you feel . I still cry for my flock.

:( That all sounds awful. :hugs

Bruce, I looked at plants yesterday. I was tickled to see them. The only moss they had was a moss ball and it looks so ugly. The plants didnt have hardy guides on them and were $10. & up.
The plants I have are cheap, don't recall what they are but they just keep growing and growing. Every other time I clean the aquarium (which isn't often enough) I end up taking out about half the plants. I've been using the same gravel and rocks I bought at an aquarium store when I was in college. Yeah that was a LONG time ago. And my filter doesn't have throw away "cartridges". Just filter pads that can be washed.

I am going to eat my chimichunga then head to bed.
And you wonder why you can't sleep??

replaced one of the fawcett's as well.

DANG! Pro beat me to it.

Huge huge hugs alley.

Don’t be roos

I have been doing a ton of reading on tanks and getting them cycled. There is a fast way to do it and I have done that. It takes having an old tank which I could provide.
This evening I added the 5 white cloud minnows which are the hardiest of all and extremely tiny and added them to the new tank. We shall see.
On a different note I have lost the snail and an angel and one more sick. The snail was dead before it hit bottom and I honestly thought I had threw the angel away but finally found it trapped under a decoration. The sick one either has ich or cotton and I have treated for ich. :fl:idunno
