Granny's gone and done it again

So I went out to check on the chickens and could not find one of the Tolbunt hens. Looked outside and inside, no hen. I finally found her jammed in behind the nest box, unable to get out and very hot. As soon as I got her out she went and drank and drank. No idea how long she was there, I don't count them since I don't let them out. And I had kind of been staying away from that coop with the wasp nest , other than checking food and water, and grabbing eggs. I hope she survives. I left the flash light on for her in case she needed to eat as well. So I had to walk back from Turkey town in the dark. Thank goodness for a bit of moon light.

I hope she makes it for you.

Well at least she was walking. Good thing I went to check her. Taking that nest out tomorrow! They weren't using it anyway.

Good night Granny, sweet dreams. I was dreaming of doing ceramics again the other night.

Heat index yesterday was 112* about the time I sat outside for 30 minutes waiting on the school bus. 10 eggs yesterday from my 11 hens. 5 eggs by 8am today. Gd's bday was yesterday. She turned 6. Dd is still working, going on 3 weeks now. Got chicken poop in my hair while getting egg from under the roost, so now I must get a shower.
