DD’s school is just the worst. The deadline for her painting was 9 this morning, but the teacher did not call and tell us. Entries for the public were due Monday-Tuesday so they e already been judged. DD is so upset.

Do you have a county fair? Maybe she can enter her painting there. I think it's a winner!

Morning. Saw our neighbor walking that stray hound this morning. He named her Lady and they both looked great. She’s filled back out and had her head up, eyes bright, just overall happy. He said he has to put her up when UPS comes, so she’s not always in the pen. He said “she still barks at me when I come from church, but that’s because she knows it’s me.” I’m assuming he feeds her after church, or lets her out. She was prancing all around and he said “she still knows who you are.” Sweet old man.
