Hey y'all. Been shopping all day. Bought dresses for DD and myself for the cruise. Mine was $20 and her was $12 because I caught good sales! And they match shoes we already have, so even better!

Woke up with a sore throat, glands are a little swollen. Wind has been killer all day! Went to church with friends, had lunch with bro and his wife, shopped while DH watched football, now having supper with friends. Can't wait to get home!

Ive been thinking about this "starter" stuff H2O and Jane are talking about to make the drink but I am so worried it will taste too different for me.


Do ya'll make drinks with it?

What do you mean taste too different? What are you used to drinking?

Well. hubs and I are back from our adventure. We drove west out Hwy 12 through the town of Sebastopol, mostly cloudy day, not too much traffic, so yay us! West of town on the winding road, and up ahead there is a truck parked in the center and ROAD CLOSED signs up.

Trees had fallen across the road. Thought about heading back home, but I had never been on the road they sent us down, so we drove off the beaten path, through the hills and discovered the small town of Occidental and then Freestone. Lived here most of my life and had never been to either place. Pretty cool.

Back on the Hwy beyond the fallen trees, and getting very near the ocean, and what's that? Is it raining? Again?

Followed Hwy 1 north through Bodega and stopped at the pullouts to take in the view of pounding surf. A view obscured now by heavy rain! What??? They didn't say anything about this on the weather report this morning!! Slowly continued our way north until reaching Goat Rock State Beach and went to the overlook, since the road down to the beach was closed. This is a very cool place... where the Russian River meets the ocean. We have had so much rain lately, and the river is huge, bigger than I've ever seen it. The ocean was brown all along here where the river flows in. Quite spectacular. I was a little disappointed that we could get out to walk around and take better pics. I cracked the window a bit to aim the camera through the crack, and we both got wet! The rain was coming in sideways!! Next we had to make our way back home along the Russian River which flooded earlier this month. So much water! I have never seen the river so high and wide. Giant redwood trees near the road were standing in 6-10 ft of water and so many of the low lying vineyards were under water. When California comes out of a drought, they do it big!

Jealous kiki! I love a good sale, but thrifting wears me out. I agree on not paying mall prices. I was at dressbarn. I was turned between the dress that was $20 and more wearable and one that was $54, fancier, and looked better on me. So I called my BFF to mourn the black dress with me. (I was texting her pics of everything I tried on for opinions.)

I was thrilled with DD's too. She's very hard to shop for because of her shape. This is her sweet little dress.

I have the same crappy head cold you have camp.
I can't breath through my nose..it is driving me nuts!

I haven't been sick/had this crud in at least 6 months if not longer....

The dress is very cute!
Im sure she will look like a princess on that ship!

DO you use the byc app on your phone or do you sign in through the browser on your phone?


I only use BYC on my computer right now but I am thinking about getting the app.

they have this new LIVE video streaming on Instagram....I am addicted to two people right now...
they go live daily when its time to feed their animals..so very cool..better than any tv show.

Does anyone use instagram?
I want Twist to get it so he can "go live" when tending to the yaks!

I don't think I have that. I never update my iOS or any of my apps. The goats would knock me over if I delayed their feed!
