Tell him it needs to cycle for 5 weeks. You shouldnt have to wait that long ! Do you still have the pump or can you start a bacteria sponge somehow so that part will give you a head start ?

Yes, as soon as I wash the gravel I am setting up the 2 gallon bowl. I can set up the sponge filter in that, and I have a pump. I might need more tubing.

Yes, as soon as I wash the gravel I am setting up the 2 gallon bowl. I can set up the sponge filter in that, and I have a pump. I might need more tubing.

That will be perfect. You can steal some of the gravel too !
