I miss the big family gatherings. I heard today Christmas is what you make of it and apparently I have made a big mess of it. When my DD was little I think was my favorite time. My mom cooked a huge meal and I lived next door to her. All the sisters came, My GM and all the kids were still small and sweet. We grew apart after that year. Mom was the glue. I knew when she passed I wouldnt see any of them again and so far its been true.

My electric stove top is that smooth thing and its hard to can on. How many quarts will it hold ?

that's because those type of burners work best on smooth bottomed kettles they do NOT like the ridged graphite/enamel canners at all.

That is the same plant I have. Get tons of extra so I take some out every time I clean the tank. Not sure how long that "tree" would look good as the plants grow but can't hurt to find out!


Pringles - potato mush flattened and fried. Gummy stuff that sticks in your teeth, I won't eat them. And processed cheese is and not even real cheese according to FDA rules.


Good luck my friend. It will be PEX if you get a new one, plumbers don't put anything but PEX in these days since it is so much easier to work with than copper and a lot faster. If you get an old one I guess you will have to demand, of yourself, replacement of whatever is in there with 1/2" copper.


OK that is ridiculous! Let's see, I want to take a bath in the morning, guess I'll turn on the faucet when I go to bed. I didn't want a hot bath anyway.

I used a stock pot to can I think.Its been a while. Its smooth but I cant swear its flat. I miss my gas stove. Well, Bhahahaaa as much as I CAN miss a stove.
