Granny's gone and done it again

Nope, that is what happens just before you have a dog latched onto your leg, arm or face.

I'm not fond of killing things but if I were armed and there was no fence between me and an uncontrolled dog snarling and threatening I could.

the dog was well onto my property. His place is 350 + ft up the hill.

We were doing feeding this morning. Freaking idiot neighbors up the hill go out which means their dogs are loose and roaming looking for food. I feed the poultry and the sheep at the other end of the property. I fed the cats on the way out to feed the birds and sheep.
Boys have hogs, rabbits and dogs. I am heading back to check the boys' work and they come running up to tell me that Bruno (the sob dog that gets aggressive with me and the boys) Chased the cats off their food and is eating it.
I go running over to the cat feeding area and tell the dog to scram. I yelled it. Most dogs would runoff towards home. Not this POS. He growls and bared his teeth at me as he starts towards me. I pull out my gun and he continued to charge me. I fired a round into the ground about 5 or 6 feet in front of him. He tore off back up the hill to his place.
This dog has killed three of the chickens that have lived in the open area of my property for over a year. These birds survived coyotes, raccoons, opossums, skunks, hawks, etc... for over a year with no shelter but under the front deck or hiding in the tarped hay bales on the trailer.
I have been up since 2 am because of the wind storm trying to rip the roof off this place. So I am not in the best mood to deal with the idiot neighbors dog or the fact they are not feeding either dog that they have. I shouldn't have to feed extra to my critters cause their critters are gonna come here and eat my critters' food.
I would have shot the dog in self defense and buried it.

So I moved a 40 gallon barrel up near the barn because I don't need Turkey food down there any more. I can keep game bird feed up there.
That Turkey has legs like tree trunks and weighs about 35 pounds or more. I caught it by myself , got in the Mule while holding him and drove up the hill with him on my lap! It was a tight fit! :lau

I am sick, I've had a fever since yesterday, body aches, sore throat and coughing so much that I cant breathe. I was supposed to work today so I got up at 8am to feed the bottle baby. I was outside until 12:30.
Rowena was in labor. When I went outside, she was pacing then up and down. She laid down for about an hour in the corner when her water broke. Baby was high up and only the nose was out for the longest time. He was tinged blue. I went in but couldn't feel the legs. I thought I was going to lose them both. But I got him out and partially dried off. Mom did the rest.
I went inside and went back to bed, I woke up at 4! I still don't feel well and I'm glad I'm not scheduled again until Sunday.
