Like they would get something , cant remember what she called it. Like a token or paper that allowed them one sac of flour or so many eggs.. Its just the same now.
That was WWII.She complained because her dad would trade the sugar coupon for flour or meal. They had their own eggs. Government asked everyone to raise chickens.
Ration cards for the war effort. We had to feed the soldiers or lose the war. Gas and most foods were rationed.was it stamps ?
