Granny's gone and done it again

Just found out several people close to me are in sad shape and one passed today. A couple of days ago I went to see a friend I hadn't seen in a few months and found him in bad shape from taking chemo. He'd discovered he had lung cancer since the last time I saw him. Hopefully the chemo will help. When I got home from visiting him I called a mutual friend in Oklahoma to let him know of our friends situation. His son answered the phone and said his dad was in bad shape, which he had been for a while but now he was under care of hospice. Well today the son called and said his dad had passed from an aneurysm. My sister called yesterday and said her son is just about gone from cancer. He's been fighting for about three years. Chemo had it down to one little spot they couldn't get rid of so they gave him a pill they said would finish it off. All it did was scatter it all over his body. A shame.
Lots of folks passing away these days. Mom used to ask me if movie stars were still alive, I told her that if she knows who they are...they are probably dead by now.

If people even notice. They are estimating that 25-50% of people infected with covid don't even know they had it. No symptoms. Who knows what it will do to dogs. This virus is going to be a part of our lives for the foreseeable future. Some disturbing news is that there has never yet been a successful vaccine developed for any coronavirus. That's why we don't have a cure for the common cold, which is caused by a different coronavirus. Most people don't remember the other coronavirus outbreaks... SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome- also from China) or MERS (middle east respiratory syndrome), but these other coronaviruses wreaked some havoc in their day. Covid is more contagious, but it might not end up being as deadly (percentage wise) as some of the others. Like the others, we will figure out how to live with covid, eventually. And it certainly won't be the last time something like this happens.
I think the test is flawed. They really have no idea what is going on with it. Every day they change their mind. I pray our economy can recover from this.

Then your lawyer friend suggests that they get the necessary software for you to work from home. STRONGLY suggests!
Oh I’ve been strongly suggesting since this whole thing started. BossLady seems to think if one of us is out the others can carry on just fine. Scoff. They’ve been “working” on it....we actually did have someone over last week doing upgrades to the system so step in the right direction right...

Edit. Pert, I just read your post. Lots of hugs and condolences :(

Granny - hope you and Tom sleep well

Anyway. It’s past pumpkin time for me too so catch y’all later.

Sorry pert, it’s hard to see your friends die.
