what about the cold ? Its a rare cold snap. I wonder if I could keep it alive tonight then take it out tomorrow when it warms up? I dont know how I would stop the dogs. theres 3 of them in a small areaIf you know where the nest is you could put it back as long as you can keep the dog away...
I didnt read that right ! I can look for one but bet they wont want a wild rabbit in w/ theirsI wonder if you could take it to a local rabbit breeder and it could nurse off a doe with kits?
The rabbits insulate the nests with their fur and the mothers usually do not sit on the kits like a hen would. Pretty sure they only go to the nest to feed them because they do not want to attract predators. I just checked Louisville craigslist and there are several breeders but I don't know if they would want a wild rabbit or not. Maybe they could give you some advice. I really don't know what to do besides put it back in the nest....what about the cold ? Its a rare cold snap. I wonder if I could keep it alive tonight then take it out tomorrow when it warms up? My rehabber friend told me someone dropped a whole litter of wild rabbits off to them and they put it w/ a domesticated and she happily took them.I wonder if you could take it to a local rabbit breeder and it could nurse off a doe with kits?

Only if you can find the nest. If you want it to live.Uggg Cap ! I was hoping you would tell me it would be fine in the cold and to put it back. I know Bandit will just bring it back to me.
