something like this and the handle sticks straight out the back and is attached at the gear box area.

OMG some people. "Guest" aka PITA calls wants to know check out time, 11 am. "Can I have a late check out" me how late, her "I don't know how late can I have?" me how about noon. her " can I have it until 1 pm" NOPE then I cant get the room cleaned. She then magnanimously decided that noon would be acceptable.

Good luck twist.

Hmm. So she’s been broody a week and a half now. If I get her fresh fertilized eggs from another source (I have the feeling I know what happened here. Her hubs was supposed to bring me the eggs when he came to grab some stuff and didn’t so they were at her house - probably on her counter for a few hours...probably enough to stop development) that would be too late to introduce them?

a few hrs/ up to 10 days if they are turned is how long you can hold eggs before you incubate them. Is she a first time broody? They are kinda iffy. Some will sit on rocks all yr. If she were mine I would probably let her sit a little longer and replace w/ chicks then keep a close eye on them for a couple days.

Tango chicken update: Visited the vet! Tango unforunatley had a bit of lice and mites. But...she has fowl pox. Funny-a chicken has chicken pox! Tango couldn't open one of her eyes this morning. :( Sad. The vet gave us some special cream to help with fowl pox. Tango has got it really bad - all around on her face, comb, wattles and...her eyes. Hopefully Tango will be ok...:flShe looks like my profile photo (but with a mild case of fowl pox).
You are going to need to treat all the birds, then spray the coop. Then repeat in 10 days.
