It is very old. The guy I bought it from was older than me and it belonged to his parents when he was a kid! I love old furniture. Not like the crap they make today.

I'm so sorry he isn't well right now - I know what that's like. the first two years we were married we were in the hospital 6 times between the two of us for surgeries, including a spinal procedure I try to not to think too much about the distant future. I had been dating younger men than me, but we just didn't see enough of the world in a similar enough way. You love who you love.

How did you two meet?

I had a newborn and his father had just committed suicide . My friend that lived next door. I was going over there to visit and Tom was sitting on her porch. I didnt know him from Adam but something made me place Robert in his arms and go on inside. After visiting for a while my friend asked where the baby was. I said who is that man outside ? She said thats my brother. He just lost his wife. A yr later we were married in Toledo Ohio 2 yrs later I found a recite in my wallet from where Tom had bought a car from me. exactly one year to the day before our anniversary. I still carry that in my wallet.

got a call from the farm latish evening. I have another calf , "they" think its the older golden's. Was going to run out there this am and see and get pics. SOOOOOOOOOOOO of course its pouring rain.

Yeah I saw that about the lid after the fact. Sigh.
Was going for wood so I can hide canister filter behind closed doors/have out of sight storage for fishy stuff. Ah well. Gosh maybe I should just build something. Can’t be worse than the...

...did I start a reply last night and forget to finish it? Ugh. I’m sorry granny! Anyway. Can’t be worse than the prefab clapboard stuff the pet stores have.

You should see what I have been into today. I took Toms side table and give him mine.Took ball legs off and they were glued, screwed and tattooed on. The dowel was part of the ball and so thick. My arms are screaming. Solid oak. for 2 inches I did all that. LOL
