I used to raise birds in my basement in Detroit. I made more money on the parakeets then anything else and I combined my love of yard sales to find cheep cages then I could sell them as a set. Made a good turnover on those. The cockatiels I hand fed and sold for $100.00 each or babies for $50. depending on color. parakeets went for $10. but I cranked those out. the finches were the least popular and the lovebirds were so so.

Sounds like good money. Can’t get squat here for a chicken. Not worth the time and feed.

Got a bunch of weeds pulled out, planted a day lily plant, and did a load of laundry. I put up a piece of hardware cloth where the Leghorns were flying up over the divider and getting in with the other birds, and put another latch on the brooder to keep the door tight.

I have the blas . No idea why. Robert mad at me because Im swapping a fish tank.(take one down, put the new one up) he said the other one was supposed to be temp. and Im making it perm. He is in pain. has been all week. I have to call his dr back tomorrow. Maybe take him in.
