Inept proxies apparently. Still waiting to find out how dumb and dumber are still "employed" to run the farm.

It’s a short beam but I think the full height cabinets wouldn’t work - would be darn near impossible reaching over the counter for the higher shelves - fuhgeddaboutit for the far side (closest to the fish tank) side!

I'm confused. If you can reach into the existing cabinets why couldn't you reach into new ones on the right of the beam? I liked Granny's idea of cabinets with shelves between them and the existing ones. Or just open shelves all the way across. By the way, I recently heard of a fantastic new invention for reaching higher shelves. I think they call it a step stool

Bruce - because the countertops do an L there. I’ll have to take a picture showing but there is a big wide wonkin countertop that contains my stovetop and other randomness.
