Several European countries sent their kids back to school with no masks. S. Korea did as well, but with masks. None of the countries saw any spread of the virus among the children nor did they see any transfer of the virus to adults. Even the American Pediatric Society recommends getting our kids back to school. School is a safety net for many kids in the US. Sadly, some are at greater risk at home. It's also creating a huge gap in achievement between poor kids and those whose parents can afford the internet and have the time to help them with the online stuff. Poor kids are at a huge disadvantage.

OMG, did you see him pitch out the first ball at a game? Missed home plate by a mile.. The comments after the original tweet on tweeter were equally funny! And then came Trump tweeting a video of him tossing the ball back and forth with a pro player like a pro himself!

It’s crazy cause...how many families have both considered “essential” and how are they handling care right now. Yes there was the ffcra giving a percentage of your pay if you had to care for your kids and couldn’t work from home but...even that runs out.

That is just one of the reasons they are suggesting kids be back in school. It's in schools that oftentimes the abuse is being reported, and under privileged kids are getting a few meals a day.

That's for sure, but in the natural world, if their offspring don't survive, the parents' genes disappear from the gene pool and only good parent genes get passed on... or at least get passed on at a higher rate.

they messed up last time. Checks went to some inmates in prison and people who are in homes already paid for by the government who don't have any bills to pay. Some people are getting more on unemployment than they got working, and don't want to go back!

I feel that it’s more a transmission issue. Jane brings it to class and infects Jonny, Justin, Jason and Jessica....who in turn spread it to their family.

Given he doesn't have a regular income, saving his is probably a good idea. I can't see going out and spending it just to spend it but come up with something one can really use.

I really like having my grandkids visit, for a while. But the 4 of them are constantly fighting and whining which drives me nuts. The main reason I only had 2 was the fighting. It's going to be hard keeping them busy for that long.

Not true.. Many who speak Castillian Spanish still use th instead of c. It was rumored because King Alfredo had a lisp and could not pronounce Barcelona or any other word with c in it, but it came out as Barthelona so the people in deference pronounced it as he did so as not to embarrass the king.
