for reals though, was triple digits today. Nothing delicious about that hot!!

edit. And the hardness of coming home to an empty home is why I was ambitious on getting my ducks in a row with the breeder. At least now I have hope.

How's Granny this morning... Funny things happening down here. Henri and his bride were doing the hoochie coochie this morning.. No wonder he had such an appetite when I went out with his morning treats! He seems to be more energetic today and just happy in general. I first spotted him and Buddett inside the rain barrel all snuggled up together.. Guess she's now Ma'dam instead of Ma'dam Moisel!

Charlie Sheen and Henrietta Brown are inseparable and have been for some time, so I guess they are a pair.

My second BSL boy had no company before, but I caught him roosting next to one of the new gals in the door of the hen house. He spends quite a bit of time up there with the 'ladies'. Almost seems as if he's guarding them. I'm going to section off the big coop into two parts, easily done with deer netting. Stick Charlie and Henrietta in the smaller section where the Barn for Bairns is, and leave the bigger section for Bruiser and his ladies. I need two pieces of 1 x 1 to finish that up.

New ladies are still in the hen house but eating and drinking so I'm not worried. Biggest problem is Charlie and Henrietta not wanting them to roam around.

I did mow a small section of the yard and gather up fresh green stuff for both coops since they got raked clean yesterday. These new gals were pasture raised.. maybe it will entice them to eat more, or at least feel more at home.
