Granny's gone and done it again

The storm didnt scare you ? Maybe you will sleep better tonight
A little bit. I stayed inside the garage to watch... the door was up. Lots of trees near that are taller than the house, so felt fairly safe. I have great respect for lightening. Saw is catch the top of a sequoia tree on fire long time ago.

what did you find ?
I got a new griddle. Old one is going to that great torture chamber in the sky.
Also got some supplies to make mini hummingbird feeders. Figured they could use some extra liquid this week.

I was watching a couple of pretty white butterflies at the upper garden yesterday. Smallish with a couple of small dark spots. Interesting that they seemed to be just hanging out there. Not really after flowers or anything. Looked them up and they are cabbage butterflies. :hmm Now I have to keep watch for caterpillars munching on my kale plants.

LOL Aint that the way it goes ? I have seen those plenty but dont remember the spots. Have you seen the very tiny blue butterflys ? About the size of a pencil eraser.

I just showed Robert your rose. Its so lovely.
I thawed some of my soup . Im glad no one else liked it. Made me a good late night snack. LOL
That rose belonged to MIL. Hubs took some cuttings and got one started. She kept it in partial shade. The edges of the perals turned black in the heat. It's under the sail shade on the patio now.

No. Haven't seen a blue one in years. After 7 years of drought conditions, butterflies are getting scarce. We used to see all sorts of them. One of my favorites was called a buckeye. Once, we were in the path of a migration. It went right through the front yard... hundreds of them!
Painted somethings... can't remember.
Let me get on the computer and I can find some pics
