Granny's gone and done it again

Had a few boomers and a tiny bit of rain this morning. High of 103 expected. I was going to get out and water, but news just showed a big cell about to move over us so guess I will wait. 🌩⚡🌩
Oops... just heard thunder off to the west... here it comes!
Wish it would come here

Our pastor is sending his kids to school, but we are not. It’s just such a weird time and no one-size solution. I’m not sure how many schools are open, but it seems that all the ones in our town are open.
I wish our were open. My gk s are having a hard time.

My chickens are smarter than this rat snake... guess he/she was looking for eggs, and took a wrong turn through the deer netting on the way out, now he/she is stuck like chuck.

One more pic post and I'm done for the day... I emptied the water out of a sheet cake pan that was on the back deck and then gathered up a tree branch that had fallen down to make a playground on the far end of the brooder.

The pan just happened to be perfect and they can learn dust bathing and the fine sand they can use as grit when they start getting treats, and the ventilation holes in the kennel worked well to stick the stick into.

Love your sun shade. Nautical looking. Did you water ?
Yes I did. Then a really big cell came through and drenched everything. Wasted my time. Then the power went out for a few hours. Just a local problem for about 845 homes. Back on now, yay! because the clouds are gone and it's heating up fast. Probably will reach the predicted 103. I will be hugging my fan!

:love Excellent treasures! Especially the green pot. I have a little collection of green pottery.

Wish it would come here
It sure is localized. Just over in Napa County they are evacuating right now for a growing fire. :(

Or like the flag language
Yes! That's exactly what I was thinking. Right ear up, left ear half down = I am annoyed.
What's that called... semifore??

Would be more humane to just kill it outright rather than have it suffer intentionally. It's just living a snake's life, no intention to cause you any harm.

Another great idea. Hope you can get some pics of them in there!
