Good morning! Up early because a dang skunk sprayed half the house last night and I had to close it up to keep the stench at bay. Stink is mostly gone so I have doors and windows open and fans working on high to try to cool off this part of the house before the sun comes up.
Stupid skunk!

Try 108. And hubby mowed in it.

Ugh! We didn't get as hot as predicted yesterday. Stayed in low 90s. Supposed to be cloudy with mid-low 90s for the foreseeable future. Hope you guys get some relief..

I coulda cut it out.. but I don't want to handle snakes. I love looking at them, not toting them around.
Muh baby is only a week old today, so give it a few weeks.. I just call him 'he' because I have no clue.. When I picked him up doing the 'Granny test' he slammed on the brakes.. No tucking for him. Yesterday he and Gator were nose to beak.. so cute and I didn't have my camera.

My last EE cockerel I could tell the first week by his bumpy comb. A hen was raising them so I didn't handle them much, but I think the "friendly" ones tend to be boys more often than not.

I wonder why he sprayed if there was no threat... Maybe he was just doing his skunky thing and passed by leaving a trail of odiferous wonder.

I do believe you are right about that.. they seem to be braver, so to speak.. but the Beifelder isn't brave at all.. he's like his sister and hangs in the background. So maybe he's a shes.

Went out when it was 73 degrees and within an hour it was 82 feeling like 89 with 73% humidity. Came in pouring sweat as usual... drip drip drip.
I thought I fixed the problem with Bruiser yesterday by doing a dominance thing.. something like you do when a dog is food agressive and you stand between the dog and the food dish with a 'macho man' posture and attitude. He caught on to that pretty quickly.. This morning with two feeders out, he attacked one of the 'lesser' hens and I scolded him quite loudly and harshly.. He jumped up in the air like.. "What the heck?". He's just gonna have to leave and be someone's dinner. I won't have him picking on the hens.

Last time I got a driver's license down in Baldwin county, they had transposed the last two numbers on my address so it never got to me.. Was undeliverable. So, I went back down there and they said 'It's your fault for not checking better when we handed you the printed form'. I had to pay another $18 for them to fix their mistake. Same thing happened to my neighbor, only twice. Bunch of lazy people that can't type what you put on the form, then blame you because you didn't catch their error.

I dont know what they will need to fix it. My house loan says east too. There is no east. I got his bank statement, insurance and ss . all letters. He asked me if I would get mad if he goes through all this and when they ring it up tell them never mind, he dont want it. He said since I was a spiteful person he figured I would enjoy that.
I am not spiteful. At least I dont think I am.

Well, I never knew him to be spiteful either. He is just really mad at these people and wants payback n some manner. According to them I tried to commit a level 5 felony . Thats what Robert is the most mad about.

My DH n his younger days was a very jealous man . He would make comments like my shorts , the legs were too big on them or my shirt was too low cut. He wants to get w/ me, ect... That always made me think he was doing something he shouldnt.
