I've never had such a hard time with fleas, but this year is da bomb. Gator is wearing Seresto Flea collar.. that was a waste of $60. Advantix hasn't helped a bit.. Got some flea spray at TSC that seems to be helping, but we don't like it much.

I used vectra 3d on peach - it’s permetherin based and seemed to do ok. How much does gator weigh? If you’d like I’ve got some extra I can mail to you - if he’s in the right weight range. BTW, got to see my first lavender orphingtons, silver laced wyandottes, speckled sussex, and Silkies ever when I went to pick up the chicks.. Oh, and he also has a pair of guineas in with each breed to keep snakes at bay. They were all sooooooooo pretty. He's trying to get down to only 7 breeds.

He told me that his Silver laced Wy Roo is a mean SOB! Are they all like that?

you need some speckled sussexes. They’re the most interesting.

BTW, got to see my first lavender orphingtons, silver laced wyandottes, speckled sussex, and Silkies ever when I went to pick up the chicks.. Oh, and he also has a pair of guineas in with each breed to keep snakes at bay. They were all sooooooooo pretty. He's trying to get down to only 7 breeds.

O M G, I got the shock of my life.. Scared me goofy (or goofier, whichever). Guess I had never seen my babies sleep before since whenever I went in they were scurrying around or eating or something. So today I was sitting with them and they started laying down one by one.. They looked like deflated marshmallows. One was beak down in the shavings, another beak down in the food tray. I thought something was wrong... O M G nooooooooooooooo! About 15 minutes later they were all back to pigging out.

I did take a small hand full of meal worms in there to see what they would do. Nothing at first. At least not out of my hand. One of the EE chicks came over and discovered the funny things laying on the floor. She picked it up, and was immediately chased all over the brooder by everyone else. Repeat, chase... heck get your own... a Beifelder chick finally figured it out and they went chasing after her. Na na na na bu bu. I got a wormmmmmmmmmmmm!

LOVE watching Chicken football. The adults will do that with a mouse.

LOVE watching Chicken football the adults will do that with a mouse.

I've seen Henrietta run down a gecko, then everyone was after her.. Need to find toys for my kids. How about tennis balls? Or Gator toys he doesn't play with.. I never could get him to play with toys.
