about 20 years
The average lifespan of a yak is about 20 years in the wild and slightly longer when in captivity. Like other species of cow, the yak is a herbivore and spends a great deal of time on grassy plains in the mountains grazing on grasses, herbs and wild flowers.
So her days are numbered for breeding.
Dogonit!! My good lawn rake grew legs, and I can't find it.. I've looked everywhere for it and it's not to be found..
I'm 14 pages back. By the time I catch up, y'all will be snoring.YEP I am a quick study. Wonder who I learned it from ??
I've been sitting in there watching the chicks.. Twice today I've filled up their store bought feeder, and twice they've stood there and knocked every bit of the food out, I even elevated it a bit.. They purposely drag all the food out so they can forage around in the shavings and poo to find good stuff to eat...
They aren't scratching it out, they are using their beaks to drag it out.. Even if everyone is full and goes to lay down there is always one or two that stay until it's cleaned out.. lil peckerheads.have you tried hanging the feeder about head level for the chicks. at least then they shouldn't be able to scratch it all out.
