25 mg for every 25lb of dog, 2 to 3 times per day. So maybe 2 pills twice a day will work. Might calm him down too.

Make sure you have pure diphenhydramine. Sometimes they add other stuff that is bad for dogs. No acetaminophen or pseudophedrine.

I would think your heart doctor would want to hear about those symptoms.
