Granny's gone and done it again

ok today--had a weird incident yesterday. Hubby was in hay field and a bee flew into his ear! hurt horribly and wouldn't come out. I took him to ER and they couldn't get it out either so they drowned it with some solution. I have to take him to specialist today for bee removal. otherwise, same old same old! hope your burning mouth starts to feel better
I guess he needs to grow his hair out longer! Sorry he got stung.

Got some chores done, have not gotten to the coop job yet. Chickens are out of it at least. Hubby is painting the spare bedroom.
I may not go to the swap this weekend. Wanted to go to get rid of some roosters. But my wrists are sore from overuse right now, and hauling plus toting things around is not going to help me.
Granny, I hope you feel better and have a good nap.

Put a piece of carpet on an elevated surface like a table or a washing machine. Save your back.
Yes, I do that. He is such a squirmer though, and very strong for such little twerp. My back doesn't like it.

He really needs a trim!

Sun is out. Yellow glow is from all the smoke blocking the sun! It's not warming up today either.

Have to work inside.
Here's my impromptu grooming station.

Barely a quarter done. We both need a break.

Thankfully the skunk smell wasn't bad at all this morning. He must have walked near where there was spray rather than getting sprayed. Happy me!

I got ice water. My lips are already blistering. Bet my throat does too. I felt that burn in my ears ! I hope my throat dont swell
What the heck did you eat?

Rain all night and all day so far and only 49 degrees. Almost in shock. Nice to be getting all this rain though.
Teach, can't imagine how your dh feels having a bee stuck in his ear and the drs can't get it out. Hope someone finds a solution quickly. The first crazy thought that ran through my old brain was to blow into the opposite ear and blow it out. I swear I don't know what my kids are gonna do with me one of these days.

Sometimes I sit on the floor to groom difficult dogs, especially to shave feet and cut nails. I hold their body under my left arm, leaves my right arm free. At times I use my legs. My dogs are good about grooming. Crazy Cat can be a handful.
I cut the cats' nails today, she growled but didn't try to bite me. I hold them upside down on my lap.
