I cant use algae remover because of the shrimp. Anything with copper in it is a no.
I dont know what kind of frogs we have here. Bull frogs for sure but theres others .

Will adding a therapeutic amount of salt to the water have any affect on algae or be detrimental to the shrimp?

I can remember having an algae outbreak in one of my ponds that had the koi and comets growing fungus on their scales to the point that it would engulf the fish and kill it. The solution to the problem was to salinate the pond to kill the algae. I did and it worked.
