From I was trying to find the fire map. How close is it to your hous?
How far away is your dads farm?

Farm is 5 minutes away.
Fire got within 5 miles or so. The worst spot was farther away, but up wind, so much more worrisome.
Nothing got very close at all this time. Not like 2013 when it burned right to the edge of the neighborhood 2 different times. Firefighters set backfires and saved our bacon twice in 3 days that time.

That is the tank house. Homesteads would use a windmill or later a gas powered pump to fill a water tank on the top floor that could then gravity flow into the house as needed. All made of redwood. Tank house was not in use any more when we moved in there... modern pumps and pressure tanks took over.
House and tank house are over 100 yrs old.

Could you give her some insulin and then would she calm down?

If she would let me. Most times she refused to check her sugar but when she did it would be in the 400s.

I talked to a consular (sp) about her and she told me mom had a personality disorder. She said it takes years to fix if at all and with her advanced age it wouldnt be possible. Like she would of even been willing.
