Don't bother with the flea meds if they don't have fleas. Waste of money. Usually if they have fleas, you KNOW it and all of them will be scratching.

Same for us. Unseasonable high temps in the coming week. At least the air is pretty good right now.

Hubs and I took a drive this morning, through some of the burned areas. Sort of morbid sightseeing. Very sobering. You do learn some things about what burns (oleanders and junipers) and what doesn't (houses with metal or tiled roofs). It reinforces how grateful we are to have been spared yet again and that enduring the inconvenience of evacuating is nothing by comparison. Mostly though, it's just so random. Whole sections of homes untouched and one in the middle burned to the ground. I guess that's where the ember landed.
