Granny's gone and done it again

Oh man. Not sure which is worse, blockage or parvo. Poor pup. If he recovers, does this mean he will be immune to the virus? There was some pet program here that was from an inheritance. Old lady wanted to help people keep their pets, so when she died, she left her money to her vet (or something) to use for people in need. That was a loooong time ago, but maybe you there is something like that out your way. Wonderful thing! All the bad news in the world... it's nice to see something good... there are some kind people out there.

I think it does Wishing. I will make sure but I read it gives them immunity . With that being said, The others need a booster shot. the yard and house including grass needs to be bleached to kill the virus. It is an amazing thing. It is my fault he is sick. over a freaking $9.00 shot. I am ashamed.
I wonder if thats what it is ? whatever it is I am one very lucky girl.

That's such good news! Even parvo shouldn't be as bad as it is on the tiny pups. It's quickly fatal to them for sure. I wouldn't think he'd get it so old, though?

I wondered about that . The test showed he has it very strongly
Hi Hun, just wanted to let you know I sent the info on the Parvo vacine that TSC carries to messenger. This crazy site just doesn't like me to type

They will be giving him fluids, and that will help his body fight the virus.  :fl

they said he will get iv antibiotic, fluids, meds for nausea , anti diarrea .   a catheter.  Over a $9.00 shot. I am so mad at myself.   maybe a week in the hospital.
Beating up on yourself won't help anything Hun. You do the best you can & it's unfortunate Bandit got sick. Praying he will get better, love you bunches.

vet wants $62.00 a dog for parvo booster. wont give it without an exam. They said the shots from TSC isnt as good but do that anyway. I bet there isnt a thing different about them.

I wonder if that bone broth would do pup good ? If they get him drinking. Or Maybe I could give it a go for when he comes home ? I dont know if I said already there is about a 70% chance on survival

So sorry he has parvo granny. BUT he would have had to pick it up from somewhere which means your other dogs are also at risk. And you've had him awhile right? Fluids are good. Diarrhea, vomiting and lack of food doesn't kill parvo dogs but it's the dehydration from it. As far as vaccines go. Inproper storage of the vaccines is usually what you have to worry about at stores. Also call your TSC and find out if they do the clinic days. Price is reduced and an actual clinic brings the vaccines and supplies.
