Are you getting any notice from his teachers when an assignment is late? I think in this case, it's not as much that he is failing, but the school is failing him. You can make a plan with his teachers to be notified what assignments are due and when so you can support him from home. If he has an IEP, it should have been updated when the remote learning started.Remote. Learning like a champ. Jumps on his Chrombook first thing. I have to remind him to take breaks. Even works Sunday. Stays on till about 3pm. Problem: not submitting his work. Having too much fun DOING the work. I've had to really crack down. Yes, I have been notified. And all his teachers are being awesome about it. I don't think he's the only student having issues. Covid is making everybody a bit unsettled, to put it mildly. He doesn't have an IEP this year, I think he's been discharged from the Special Needs program. He's really very high functioning. Just a little ... socially ... um... I don't know. Awkward? No, that's not it. He's never socially uncomfortable. He's kind of annoying, I guess. Not always aware when he's being loud, goofy, inappropriate and making OTHERS uncomfortable. And yes, we're working on it. Always. He's just not aware. Are you getting any notice from his teachers when an assignment is late?
