I usually refuse morphine but I was in a lot of pain. The pain pump didn't seem to help at all.

The pain pump is .... limited. What's the word I want? It's calibrated to give you a certain amount in a given time frame and no more. Once you use your allotment, you can press that button a million times but too bad, you ain't gonna get no mo'.
