Dogs can get cocci

Not all coccidia are the same. There are many many species of coccidia, and each is made to survive in the gut of a particular type of animal. Dogs are infected by one coccidia species, chickens by a completely different one. That's what species specific means. A healthy person would not be affected by chicken coccidia either. My dog would be dead by now if she could get it from chickens, she LOVES the little presents they leave around!

pretty sure no Wishing, I mean, they ask to go out a million times a day but I looked the yard over pretty good. I watch them while they are out for the most part because he decided he wanted to play frog with Star and he stops when I step out. So thats what I have been doing. I took this pic the other day at my feed store. I asked them ( the feed store dummies) if this is the same corid chicken people use and they had no idea.

i still can't get over how dumb my feed store people are.

I ended up buying the Vetericyn "eye" stuff for my girl.
I wasn't sure if these could be used on the eye so I figured the "eye" one was safer.

Btw this stuff either really works or my chicken is healing on her own! lol
Her eye is almost back to normal.

pricey..it was outrageous...
I bought a little bitty tube of eye gel for 25..now that I think about it I should have just put some coconut oil on her and called it a day, but...these are my first very special girls and I must treat them with expensive s h i t!!!!
