Granny's gone and done it again

Hope all goes well dear.
Thank you Verna. He gave me a CS shot in my shoulder when I was here a couple of weeks ago, so I am not in pain like I was before :bow but that did not fix the problem, so we still need to find ouut why I have weakness, numbness and tingling all down my arm. Hope it is not DDD. I guess I hope it is arthritis but whew, what a choice! Well I guess I will know within a couple of hours.

Partly because their utility companies are cutting them off to prevent wildfires.
Well, y'all can correct me if I am wrong but that is what I heard on the news. Because of the high winds. There is fear that trees or branches falling can knock down a power line and start a fire.

They need to bury the power lines if it's that bad.
Normally I think the fire season ends in October because they get rain. This is December. The last couple of years have been unprecedented. If they could have anticipated or expected this, they might have prepared for it long ago, but this has taken everyone by surprise due to climate change. I don't even know if it will be possible to install underground utilities now, bc they are just fighting fires year round now. And deforestation causes massive mud slides when it does rain. Plus we are talking about California, where quakes and tremors are a fact of life. Underground utilities just may not be feasible.

@BigBlueHen53, if it is DDD, don't worry, you can live with it. It won't always be easy or painless but you will find new and better ways to do things so you don't hurt as much and can still do the things you love to do.

You may have to give up a few things but I'm starting to believe that anything is better than hurting.

Good morning everyone and happy Monday...like there is anything to praise Monday about in the first place, LOL

I'm off to get bread made and do weekend damage control. My back has been yelling at me for about two days now so that means that an hour's worth of work will take me much of the day to do. That used to upset me a lot but not any more. I look at it from the POV that, hey, at least I'm getting it done!

Hi, Chick, thanks for the encouragement. Good news, does not seem to be DDD! :celebrate Ortho wants to refer me to a neurologist though, to find out what's causing the issue w the arm. He says he sees no big cause of the numbness/ tingling but "lots of little issues" that could be causing it. But he "doesn't do necks," he says. Oh, and I can take the shoulder off light duty and put it back to work! Home-baked bread, here I come! :wee

Ghost Busters was one I recorded months ago. Don't remember the channel, but it had lots of commercials which we fast forwarded through. Never would have sat through all of them!

He seems fine. He was protecting us from ferocious kitties in the neighbor's yard today... barking up a storm and wouldn't stop when I called, so had to go get him. Few barks is okay, but I won't let him keep it up for long. I think he loves watching the kitties run away. Our cats in the house really push him around, so I guess it's misplaced revenge!
Our Sammy is a crazy barker (correction, WAS). We've fixed it with a couple empty soda cans with dried beans inside, taped shut. When he really gets going we shake one at him. If he keeps barking, we throw it at him. The intention is not to hit him, but to distract and startle him. That's Red Light. As soon as he's quiet, we praise. That's Green Light. Have several cans, it takes some repeating at first! Note: he is 3 years old. Also, we did bean him with the can once by accident. He kind of ran into it. But it's lightweight, it didn't hurt him. It did make the sound more effective afterward, but we don't advocate hitting the dog with the can on purpose. Anyway now he barks a few times to alert, as a good dog should, instead of screaming hysterically at every little sound.
